While working at the Kentucky State Fair, I met Melissa and her mom. They were also working at the State Fair. Over the course of 12 days, we chatted several times about Food on a Stick and a few times Melissa and her mom dropped by our sculpture installation to show me their latest finds.
Melissa’s Mom (who was introduced to me as *Melissa’s Mom* and never referred to otherwise) is seen in this photo with the Chocolate Covered Strawberry on a Stick. It was 4 strawberries on a stick, dipped in chocolate then frozen. Because Melissa’s Mom said it was so good, I had one a couple of days later and it was tasty.
Melissa is having the Cherry Covered Banana on a Stick. This one was a bit odd. The cherry coating was sort of like a cherry flavored white chocolate but even more wax-y. And the color was a very unnatural shade of reddish-pink. It was still a popular choice, I saw many people eating them at the Fair.
