Today is the first post introducing you to my fellow Food On A Stick contributors. Meet Greg Frisbee, Comedy Juggler and Variety Performer.
Greg lives in one of my favorite food towns, San Francisco, but his amazing variety of entertainment has taken him around the world. He juggles fire, escapes from a straitjacket and makes people laugh hysterically. And he likes food on a stick–his favorite is frozen chocolate covered bananas. The race is on to see which of us eats one first, as that’s my favorite, too!
I was recently working about an hour north of Kansas City in a small town. A guy in bib overalls approached me and started rattling off one-liners and groan-worthy jokes about balloon sculpting. I thought this was very odd, until it struck me I had heard some of those jokes before. I asked him where he came up with his material. He told me he had seen this really terrific performer a year ago at the Missouri State Fair, none other than Greg Frisbee. That’s the impact Greg has on folks–a year later they still remember his silly jokes well enough to retell them!
