Soften Saturday returns after a bit of a break. Today’s post is written by my friend Celeste, who is currently studying in Jerusalem, but professes Kansas skies to be the best. You can read more of her writing at The Lazy Radical.
The world I’m living in feels pretty crazy and intense right now.
The world you’re living in might, too.
And no matter what happens, I remind myself (and whomever else I can) that my power always comes from my blessings.
I am so grateful for the people who know how to take action, who know how to defend and protect and do so daily on my behalf. But I know without the power that my blessings give me, I would live in fear, paralyzed by the sorrow and evil in the world.
But there isn’t only evil. There is good, and so much of it.
And when you remember your blessing, the special quality or talent or trait or idea which you have been entrusted to bring into this world, the light with which you are designed to shine, then beyond whatever evil someone may be bringing into the world, your life has meaning and purpose and power.
Don’t let anyone make you forget your blessing. And if you don’t know what it is, take some time to find it because it will change everything.
