For Day 12 of Boozy Advent, I mixed up a variation of the classic New Orleans milk punch and made Brandy Maple Milk Punch.
I know some enjoy this concoction all year. Some associate it with Mardi Gras. It seems like a Christmas drink to me, a bit similar to eggnog without the egg. Here’s a link to the original recipe, created by Brennan’s in New Orleans. Johnna has a dairy-free recipe for it here, made with her favorite smoked maple bourbon. You can use bourbon, brandy, or whiskey. I’m using brandy because it is what was available in the Boozy Advent Tree.
Ingredients: Cream, Brandy, Maple Syrup and Vanilla Extract. You can add a sprinkle of nutmeg (traditional) or cinnamon to the top. I used cinnamon in this one since it seems like I’ve used nutmeg in half of the cocktails I’ve made so far this month.

Adding brandy to my liquor store list! I remember how intrigued I was when Johnna first shared her dairy-free version. But then I forgot to give her recipe a try. Adding this drink to my Christmas plans. Thanks, John!
