For the 20th Day of Boozy Advent, I mixed together another classic, a Bourbon Sour.
While the classic Whiskey Sour is essentially whiskey, lemon juice and sugar. I prefer bourbon to most non-bourbon whiskeys and like a hint of orange as well.
Instead of using regular maraschino cherries for the garnish, I’ve used Luxardo cherries (buy them on Amazon or at your local liquor store) with a long ribbon of lemon peel. I like this tool, a citrus zester with a channel knife, to make long citrus peels. I threaded it all together on a stainless steel cocktail pick. I have this set and like them because the set comes in a handy little storage case.
Ok, on to the recipe…

I like the addition of orange! And thanks for sharing the link to stainless steel toothpicks (aka skewers per one of my other comments)!
